She is a charter member and currently on the board of the IBMA (International Bridal Manufacturers Association) as well as being a former member of the BBA (Bridal and Bridesmaids Association. In 1991 She received The D.E.B.I. Award for Distinctive Excellence in the Bridal Industry from Modern Bride Magazine.

Ms. Varsalona serves on the Board of Trustees of Mount St. Dominic Catholic school for girls in North Caldwell, NJ and was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2000.

A 1967 alumni of Raytown High School in Raytown, MO, she was nominated to their Hall of Fame in 2004.

A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, MO, Ms. Varsalona is a member of their New York Regional Cabinet as well as a member of the National Council for the Sam Fox School of Art & Architecture where she serves on the Scholarship Committee.

A member of SAG (Screen Actor’s Guild), Ms. Varsalona was featured in national screen and print commercials/ads giving a testimonial for Mercedes Benz ‘S’ Class Auto.

Most recently, Ms. Varsalona has served as Adjunct Professor at FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology), New York, where she teaches with Bridal and Cocktail Apparel as her specialties.

In November 2009, Paula was named “Woman of the Year” by The Center for Italian and Italian American Culture, where she now serves on their Board of Trustees.

In April 2010, she was named “Best 50 Women in Business, NJ, 2010” by Wachovia Bank.

Ms. Varsalona and her husband have lived in Montclair for 30 years and have an eighteen year old daughter, Alexandra.s great scarlet Indian Bridal Saree.
